Human Performance Center
Human Performance Center
Human Performance Center The Human Performance Center has an Olympic size pool, full basketball court, weight room, Dojo, and climbing wall. These spaces are used for academic classes, the school’s intramural and morning exercise programming, and for independent use by students and staff.
Schoolhouse
Schoolhouse
Schoolhouse The One Room Schoolhouse is composed of various rehearsal and media spaces on three floors. Upstairs we have an open concept room with a projector, screen, grand piano, and small stage. Behind the stage, is a handcrafted wood depiction of our Eagle Rock mascot. Above our main level, we have a loft, which serves as a lounge and jam band area for staff and students to make music together. Downstairs we have a computer lab, private practice room, instrument storage, and a state of the art studio for recording.
Science/Math Building
Science/Math Building
Science/Math Building The science building houses both the math and science departments as well as a greenhouse that is maintained by the gardening chore crew. There are three spacious classrooms, including a functioning science lab with prep room, and a shared computer lab with state-of-the-art Macs. You can find classes such as Riverwatch, Astronomy, and Cryptology taking place in this space.
Art Building
Art Building
Art Building The Art building is composed of several different studio spaces. The upper part of the building has a large wood shop and a ceramics and glass studio combined. We have potter’s wheels, 2 electric kilns, and capabilities to create in stained glass, torched glass, and fused glass. There is also a large storage space that is shared by the art, wood shop, and service departments. Downstairs the building has a large open studio that is multi-functional. We keep two large cabinets full of community supplies for everyone on campus to have access to arts and crafts supplies. In the lower building space, we offer quilting, drawing, painting, sculpting, and a variety of crafts. Located in the back part of the room there is a black and white film darkroom. Outside along the upstairs section of the building, there is a stone patio where we hold outdoor drawing, sculpting, or writing classes.
Learning Resource Center
Learning Resource Center
Learning Resource Center The Learning Resource Center is Eagle Rock’s hub of academic development. It is the home of the Instructional Specialists Office where Instructors and their Fellows collaborate on course planning and student engagement. Much like the PDC, the IS Office utilizes the open workspace concept. The Eagle Rock Library is hosted in the LRC. It offers approximately 5,000 volumes cataloged and shelved according to subject matter. The Library floor plan was developed to facilitate multiple work and study areas. The Library has a computer lab available for students' academic and recreational use. We’ve recently completed becoming a branch of the Estes Valley Library. The LRC also houses four classrooms; Sage, Yarrow, Lichen, and Cinquefoil. A fifth space, Kinnikinnik, was added in 2008. Kinnikinnik serves as a classroom, computer lab, and common conference space for staff and student functions. All classrooms are set up with projectors, speakers, and screens. Classrooms utilize a circular-style table arrangement that encourages equal engagement from all participants. The LRC Amphitheater is a common area used for community meetings, course instruction, POL presentations and academically related multimedia presentations. It is equipped with an HD projector and sound system. Most of Eagle Rock’s technological assets are staged from the LRC. Classrooms include: Lichen, Sage, Yarrow, Cinquefoil, Kinnikinnik

This is where we store gear, clothing, and dry food for both our wilderness expeditions and our shorter Explore Week and front-country experiences.
