Fellowship Program Manager 

Position Title:  Fellowship Program Manager 

Reports To:  Director of Belonging and Professional Development

Job Objective: The Fellowship Program Manager is responsible for facilitating all aspects of our Fellowship Program, a year of service for diverse young professionals entering education, to provide career readiness, certification, and advanced experience in education.

Job Summary:

The Fellowship Program Manager hires a team of 8+ fellows annually, provides training and mentorship over the year, and coordinates all aspects of the program. We are looking for a dynamic individual who will collaboratively lead the program to fulfill our antiracist, social justice commitment in supporting young professionals entering education.

Qualifications: Bachelor or Master's degree; strong organizational and leadership skills; antiracist hiring experience; experience mentoring diverse young professionals; facilitation and training experience, particularly related to inclusion, equity, and anti-oppression work; ability to work collaboratively with students, fellows, and other staff; experience working with diverse young people including individuals who identify as LGBTQ and individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following attributes: A deep love of young people; knowledge of effective practices in hiring diverse staff; demonstrated success in mentorship and training of young professionals; adept interpersonal skills; a sense of humor; visionary thinking; a commitment to lifelong learning; seasoned judgment; and an appreciation for the fact that working at a residential school is more of a calling than a job. 


Recruitment and Hiring of Fellows

  • ​​​​Hire 8+ fellows annually, including recruitment, application review, managing interview process, and offering positions

  • Manage all administrative information, forms, and support relative to Eagle Rock Fellowship stipends and benefits

  • Support the process for incoming fellows to qualify for our alternative licensure program, certified by the Colorado Department of Education

  • Establish open lines of communication with newly hired fellows before their arrival

Onboarding and Training

  • Collaboratively design and deliver a week-long onboarding experience to welcome new fellows into Eagle Rock

  • Provide ongoing weekly training to fellows rooted in learning and honing the skills they need to succeed at Eagle Rock.

  • Plan and facilitate three full-day retreats centered around personal reflection and integration of their Eagle Rock experience.

 Mentorship of Fellows

  • Hold consistent one-on-one meetings with fellows and three-way meetings with fellows and supervisors 

  • Collect feedback about the fellows from all staff to provide relevant and important feedback

  • Manage multiple and varied tasks related to supporting and guiding adult learners in their careers from the educational, relational, emotional, and social development perspective

  • Model and exemplify the personal, professional, and leadership qualities that the fellows are being expected to achieve

Administrative Processes

  • Maintain fellow files and paperwork

  • Manage the Fellowship website

  • Facilitate health insurance setup and support in collaboration with HR

  • Ensure Fellows are connected to benefits and wrap-around supportive services to ensure a successful term of service

Organization-Wide Involvement

  • Participate as an active member of the Professional Development Team, committed to liberatory, student-centered educational change across the country

  • Participate as an active member of one of the residential house teams, including an interest in serving as a house parent

  • Co-create and deliver engaging student programming opportunities as part of an evening program team. Regularly work one night a week on this team and periodically work weekend shifts

  • Perform other duties related to being an active community member at Eagle Rock including advisories, intramural participation, community meetings, service projects, house team participation, driving, and other events.

  • Share your unique skills with the school (e.g., organizing, sports, spiritual practices, poetry, yoga, hiking, magic tricks, etc…)

  • Be an active member of the Eagle Rock community beyond this job description.

Essential Physical Job Functions

The person in this position will: regularly operate a computer, frequently communicate with students and staff, and frequently move about campus grounds – including ascending/descending stairs. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, and may frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Travel for work may be required.  On-campus housing is provided as a requirement of the position.


We offer a competitive salary and benefits package: 

  • Salary range for this position: $50,000-$80,000, based on education and experience.
